Position: Experienced Planner - Strategic Development and Development Management

Are you an experienced Town Planner or planning-focused Surveyor with a passion for rural and urban development? My client is seeking a talented professional to join an established planning team in Wolston, near Rugby. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, promoting land through Local and Neighbourhood Plans, and managing general planning work.

The Opportunity:
My client is looking for an excellent individual to join our multidisciplinary team, advising a wide variety of landowning clients on the promotion of sites through Local and Neighbourhood Plans and the submission of planning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Advise on the promotion of land in the Midlands and beyond, including the submission of representations at all stages of Plan preparation, from call for sites to Examination.
2. Conduct planning appraisals and engage in pre-application consultations.
3. Appoint and manage consultant teams.
4. Prepare and submit planning applications for various developments, from large-scale residential and commercial schemes to smaller rural projects.
5. Advise on and submit appeals of all types.
6. Handle prior approval applications.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Background in private or public sector planning or planning-focused surveying.
2. RTPI accreditation is welcomed but not essential; support will be provided to achieve this if desired.
3. Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage diverse projects.
