Role Overview
The role involves working in the assembly and fabrication of large X-ray equipment with detailed component assembly, in a semi-cleanroom environment.
The production room cleaner will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning operations of the chemistry lab, clean room, assembly area, and shop floor.
1. Thorough cleaning of the clean room as per clean room protocols. Regularly clean other areas of production as assigned by the duty manager on a weekly basis.
2. Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and other production equipment).
3. The work will largely be carried out in a carefully controlled environment to avoid particulate contamination and to ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness.
4. The role will primarily involve cleaning and will also support detailed component cleaning, including leak checking of parts and general assembly work such as component cleaning and preparation.
5. The production cleaner will also support and assist with the day-to-day operation/maintenance of the chemistry lab.
Key Skills:
1. You will need to be disciplined to ensure maintenance of best possible working practice within the chemistry lab.
2. Operate in line with health and safety practices within the laboratory. Always wear appropriate PPE and follow safe handling of chemicals.
3. Monitor inventory levels and order materials and supplies as needed. May recommend changes in inventory levels based on historical order/usage data.
Experience:
1. Experience of working as a cleaner in a clean room, chemistry lab, assembly, manufacturing, or factory preferable.
2. Prior experience in component assembly processes would also be useful.
3. Able to integrate well into an established team supporting and assisting colleagues.
4. Experience in handling chemicals, lower-level testing, and assembly.
5. Proven working experience as a Cleaner.
