The Role Reporting to the Managing Director, the UK Sales Director will be key member of the Management Team and will be required to support the development and implementation of a sound growth strategy to deliver sales and profitability targets. Managing and directing a small national UK Sales Team, you will take over all responsibility for the implementation of the UK sales strategy, delivering growth and strong, profitable performance in a challenging but exciting market with bottom line responsibility for the entire UK business. Identifying and developing specific market sector opportunities within the construction industry and developing partnering relationships with key customers. Developing new markets and new opportunities where identified. Managing and controlling performance of the sales team against KPIs and setting objectives, goals and bonus structure to maximise order intake and profitability in the marketplace. Recruiting and motivating the sales team to meet the developing requirements of the business. Developing sales and account management competence through coaching, training and development of the team. Targeting and developing new and existing key subcontractors operating within major projects, building strong relationships and, where appropriate, negotiating large orders. Providing input into the companys product development activities via customer feedback to help meet expected revenue and profit margin targets, feeding market information back into the business to help understand competitor activity. Achieve the yearly order intake and Gross Margin targets and market share set for the UK business. The Candidate Reporting to the European Managing Director, the UK Sales Director will be a key member of the Management Team and will be expected to contribute on other issues outside of their remit. Passionate and ambitious, with the determination to drive a sales team to generate business and achieve targets. The ability to lead, motivate and coach a team and possess sales experience and a successful track record in sales management. An excellent communicator, confident and self-motivated, with good interpersonal and strong influencing skills. Ambitious, dynamic and highly motivated with a good knowledge of the construction industry and/or mechanical and industrial services the determination to drive a sales team to generate business and achieve targets. Experienced in tendering processes as well as value proposition development and sales pipe-line management, together with finely tuned negotiation skills. Able to demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism. Ideally educated to degree level in either an engineering or business discipline.
