We are seeking an experienced individual to join our manufacturing team for a 12-month contract. The role requires a strong understanding of assembly disciplines, with the ability to work unsupervised and exceed industry standards.
Role Description:
Manufacture, repair, or modify complex Radar, Avionics, and Underwater military products.
Skills to exceed industry standards such as IPC and ANSIJ.
Needs to understand in detail and at all times comply with external LRQA standards such as AS9100 and ISO9001.
Requires flexibility to move between product range/contract.
Able to work with no supervision and limited engineering support.
Typical Duties Include:
1. Assemble/process product in accordance with defined work instructions or detailed technical drawings.
2. Repair/modify current and legacy products.
3. Be able to work with limited data utilizing experience.
4. Use business systems to record product history/compliance.
5. Support and assist in the training of personnel.
6. Work unsupervised.
Knowledge:
1. Have a good understanding of an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, PCB assembly, Microelectronics processing, or similar.
2. Have a medium range of product experience and medium expertise in discipline.
3. Understand and comply with all relevant Business Management System (BMS) procedures.
Skills:
1. Able to perform assembly/disassembly or modification tasks on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems – encompassing new build and repairs products.
Qualifications:
1. Be formally qualified in appropriate Workmanship Standard e.g., ANSI J, IPC, or similar.
