Position: Assistant Head (SEMH School)
Salary Details: Up to 40,000 per annum

Who we are:
Cambian Dunbroch School is an independent co-educational day school that caters to students who have ongoing complex Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. The school typically caters for up to 22 students aged between 12-18 years with a wide range of educational backgrounds and needs.
About the role:
To provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body. To work with the Head Teacher, leadership team and other stakeholders to secure high standards throughout the school.
Key Task Areas and Responsibilities
1. To comply with good safeguarding procedures and principles.
2. To participate in the process of assessment of referrals.
3. To act as the lead teacher for the positive support of behaviour that may challenge.
4. To work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team.
5. To monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student can achieve planned outcomes.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND.
2. A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and complex needs.
3. Experience in leading and managing teams with a compassionate, therapeutic approach.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work inclusively with staff, students, and families.
5. A proactive, adaptable attitude, able to set up new systems and processes aligned with the school's values and ethos.
