Our client is a large engineering firm looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join the team.
The Project Engineer is responsible for:
1. Managing specific accounts on a day-to-day basis; maintaining and improving long-term relationships to maximize sales opportunities with existing and new clients.
2. Looking after all aspects of customer requirements from the bid phase to final delivery.
The duties of the Project Engineer will be as follows:
1. Attending Kick Off and Pre Production Meetings
2. Providing technical support to the customer when required
3. Generating and providing quotations
4. Generating job-specific documentation
5. Generating Microsoft Project plan schedules
6. Issuing job cards
7. Ordering materials and sub-contract components
8. Managing sub-contractors
9. Liaising with production to ensure all technical aspects of projects are adhered to
10. Careful monitoring of projects to ensure delivery promises are kept
11. Careful monitoring of costs and production times to ensure commercial targets are achieved
12. After sales contact
The role is dependent on experience but would suit a welder or machinist who has some experience but is looking to develop.
