This is an excellent opportunity for a senior compliance professional to join a leading global professional & legal service providers office in Guernsey. The firm is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance & MLRO to lead its Guernsey compliance operations across regulated trust, accounting, and investment businesses. In this strategic role, you will be the named MLRO/MLCO, guiding the local compliance agenda while collaborating closely with global stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment and risk management across jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities : Serving as the lead Compliance Officer for all Guernsey-based regulated entities, including acting as registered MLRO and MLCO. Managing financial crime risk, including overseeing suspicious activity reporting and maintaining regulator relationships. Leading the local Compliance Programme, ensuring policies meet legal and regulatory standards. Providing risk-based compliance advice to business stakeholders in line with the firm's risk appetite. Delivering targeted compliance training and leading anti-financial crime initiatives. Drafting and presenting quarterly board-level compliance reports with data-driven insights and risk analysis. Conducting horizon scanning to identify emerging regulatory changes and ensuring proactive planning. Collaborating with the wider global compliance, legal, and governance teams. Mentoring and developing the Guernsey compliance team, with potential for future growth. Embedding a strong compliance culture across the business, supporting governance and internal committees Skills and Experience: Proven experience in a senior compliance, risk, or regulatory control function within a regulated financial or corporate services firm. strong expertise in financial crime prevention, risk oversight, and regulatory leadership. Prior or current approval as MLRO/MLCO (or strong deputy experience). Deep understanding of Guernsey's regulatory landscape, especially for fiduciary and investment services. Comfortable advising senior leadership and boards on compliance risks and requirements.
