Job Purpose Reporting to the Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a collaborative work environment managing a production and/or warehousing area by ensuring optimum production performance, efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The purpose of the role is to act as relief and support for the Production Manager in achieving and exceeding the KPI’s for the area and managing the team. Duties include: Act as role model and ambassador towards our Company values Monitor and record production figures and statistics to ensure the production line is running as efficiently as possible. Ensure all line standards, health and safety requirements, and food safety requirements are met. Conduct quality spot check audits to prevent ingredient over/under usage. Highlight, and plan in, training and development for your team. Ensure the correct equipment is in place, safe to use, and relevant training has been given. Control production numbers, downtime, wastage, ingredients usage and investigate any discrepancies. Maintain a clean as you go policy. Encourage and mentor the team to foster a positive working environment, acting as first point of contact to resolve any minor people related issues. Escalate any repeated or more serious people related issues to their manager Liaise with other Supervisors to utilise staff in other areas and maximise efficiency. Skills include: Experience of working in a fast-moving food production environment. Experience of leading a team to hit relevant KPI’s. Good communication and organisational skills. Supervisory experience within a similar environment Ability to develop and coach a team of direct reports Experience of driving and delivering targets and KPIs People Management skills – experience in managing performance, managing area training, motivating and leading teams, leading by example, effective communication (at all levels). Must have strong interpersonal skills, able to drive changes and sustainable improvement Team Player – support peers/team, support departments particularly through peak periods and holidays Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Health Safety: Responsible for Health and Safety within the area and ensuring team adherence to H&S policies and procedures. To support in the generation of Risk Assessments and SSOP Proactive identification of H&S hazards, supporting and ensuring that all actions are closed off on time including corrective actions following incidents/audits/accidents Supporting with training on SSOW and SOPs Desirable: Understanding of the fundamentals of food production and HACCP control. HACCP level 3 Supervisory experience ideally in FMCG and ideally with a minimum of one year within chilled food environment ILM or equivalent 1st line management qualification IOSH Working Hours - 4 on 4 off 6am to 6pm (average contracted 38hours/week) On site only On-site free parking Discounted products You will be required to attend an on-site interview for this position.
