As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll join an expanding Corporate Services IT department that supports mission critical work completed by over 1000 end users across hundreds of servers. The unique nature of the business areas you and your team will support create complex and often time-critical demands to deliver effective, reliable and enduring IT platforms across ‘conventional’ on-premise systems, cloud computing and ‘air-gapped’ systems.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll be understanding, maintaining and developing specific aspects of an enterprise IT environment; encompassing tasks across technical design, implementation and support.
Key Experience...
1. Systems engineering experience at technical lead level with vendor technologies such as Microsoft, Amazon (AWS), VMWare, RedHat of similar.
2. Able to design, support and maintain internal IT environments, platforms and services at SME level or above.
3. Awareness of Defence or National Security IT standards, a background within these domains would be preferential; including within environments that operate at multiple classification levels.
4. Some exposure to Solution or Enterprise Architecture methods, you do not need to be a practitioner.

5. Corporate Microsoft Estate: 1000+ desktops and hundreds of servers deployed across Romsey, Gloucester, Woking & Manchester. This include ‘On-Prem’ Microsoft full stack alongside 0365, Azure and AWS offerings.
6. Cloud platforms: Primarily AWS and Azure covering organisation design (layout), tenancy/account management, security, identity management, service provisioning and reporting functions.
7. Identity and Directory services: Design, management and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory, OpenLDAP, KeyCloak and Microsoft’s enterprise Single Sign-On technologies.
8. Mobile device management: Covering 300+ deployed mobile devices, applying best practice and industry standards.
9. Cyber security and information assurance: Managing and maintaining intrusion detection apparatus, supporting queries/investigations and hardened configuration of IT equipment.
10. DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering: Supporting enterprise software teams and their Ci/CD requirements using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or SonarQube etc.

Romsey: Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.
Woking: Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Woking site in a modern building on the outskirts of London. This site provides key links to our customers in London, is a 5 minute walk from the train station, has secure parking nearby and dedicated cycle storage.
Gloucester: Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Gloucester site in a business park two minutes from junction 11A of the M5; The site allows easy access to our local customer base. Set on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, you are never far from a picturesque view or lunch time walk.
