Responsibilities / Job Duties :
The RN will be responsible for the care of patients with urgent care needs. The RN will assist providers with testing, medication education, wound care, and POC testing. The RN will be handling 10-15 PPD.
* Performing physical assessments, taking vital signs, and documenting findings in the electronic health record (EPIC)
* Collecting a thorough medical history from patients and family members upon admission.
* Interpreting laboratory results and relaying important findings to other members of the multidisciplinary team
* Collaborating with other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans and establish goals of care
* Delivering patient care and patient education in a manner that is appropriate to the patient's age, physical ability, educational level, and culture. Demonstrates proficiency in adapting care to meet the needs of the following patient populations: neonatal, pediatric/adolescent, adult, geriatric.
* Scheduling and conducting appropriate nursing appointments as needed or directed by the provider including but not limited to blood pressure checks, immunizations, PPDs, patient education, premarital testing and counseling, wound checks, etc.
* Triaging patient telephone calls according to telephone triage guidelines and making necessary arrangements for follow-up.
* Interviewing patients, completing or updating medical histories, and performing clinical assessments of patients as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements : MA RN License
