The Medical Directorate supports the development and implementation of innovative and contemporary practice by ensuring that medical support systems are in place. This ensures all medical staff develop individually and professionally by building the Medical Directorates capacity and capability. To undertake medical engagement programmes of work to fully engage with the medical staff to enable the culture and NCIC Way. To support medical staff to effectively participate in leadership, research, revalidation, medical appraisal, job planning, education and training through strong collaborative sustainable partnerships.
Collaboratively linking with the operational trust structure and horizontally with the other corporate functions i.e. Workforce and Finance to ensure a consistent delivery of the Trusts' values promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
Main duties of the job
The post is expected to support and lead, where appropriate, core business functions, programmes and projects that are led from within the Medical Directorate.
The core work streams include:
1. Programme & Project Support and Management
2. Organisation and Support of Medical Engagement, Workforce & Development Programmes
The post holder must be prepared to work flexibly in a matrix way across team boundaries in line with service requirements supporting colleagues both within the Medical Directorate, across clinical care collaborative groups and support services.
The post holder will have overall responsibility for managing, maintaining and developing the systems and processes for the Medical Directorate and is expected to work closely with the Executive Medical Director, Medical Directors, Deputy Medical Directors, Head of Medical Directorate Support Services, Senior professional and clinical leads to provide lead business and administrative support of projects/programmes/business development initiatives as required and appropriate. The post holder will provide supervision, training and support to the staff/team, including monitoring of improvement & action plans and finance trackers.
Travel across the county is required for this role; due to the nature of the work it is essential that applicants hold a full UK driving license and access to their own vehicle.
