About the job:
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our new team covering the regional sales operation. You will be acting as part of our Sales function. Pushing the sale and/or rental of our innovative concept Boxbar Technology.
Your Role:
You will be responsible for signing new deals along with growing and maintaining our new business client bas. You will be tasked with driving growth of the Boxbar sales in target markets including festivals, events, sports, venues and hospitality through strategic partnerships, hitting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets, and managing a client portfolio of both existing and new business customers.
This role will report directly to the Director of Business Development. Your mission will be to grow new and build on existing partnerships ensuring that there is an increase in sales and profitability year on year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meet/exceed monthly and yearly revenue targets. Your main KPI will be principally measured on hitting this target.
* Drive new business growth within key markets and industry sectors.
* Arranging & attending meetings with senior prospects, making C-Level presentations, drafting proposals and contract documents and consistent networking within the industry.
* Attending our events, networking events and any relevant conferences.
* Producing detailed proposal presentations for clients with a positive ROI.
* Developing new ideas and tailored partnership solutions.
* Negotiate deals and close contract sales on a timely basis.
* Liaise with internal teams, including operations, marketing, tech & finance.
* Support with supplier relationships, invoicing, sales reporting to Directors, monitoring sales overhead and costs.
* Managing and maintaining leads in our CRM system ensuring prospective clients are followed up on a regular basis
* Maintain knowledge of the self-serve ecosystem with regards to products and service providers
* On-site operational support from time-to-time period, including direct liaison with clients and suppliers.
Requirements:
* Experience within Sales/Business Development in the live music, festivals, events, travel, leisure, hospitality, sports or tourism industry.
* Minimum 3 years experience in sales, partnerships or commercial development
* Exceptional numerate and communication skills, a confident telephone manner with experience in face-to-face meetings
* Have a comprehensive understanding of the full sales cycle including lead generating, negotiations skills and closing
* Demonstrate an ability to manage projects, focus on achieving objectives, adjust priorities, manage time and follow up on actions
* Show an ability to work autonomously and be able to take responsibility beyond scope of role
* Actively look for new solutions and create new ideas regarding the on-going commercial development.
* Be aware of and take responsibility for implications of decisions
* Have the ability to cope in a high-pressure environment
