About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Gorton. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide tailored support to students, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Salary: You will earn a competitive salary, between £420 and £450 per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Assist in the planning and implementation of individualised education plans for students.
* Provide one-on-one support as well as group assistance during lessons.
* Help create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
* Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
* Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
* A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help children succeed.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
