Salary Range: Band 7 £29,777 - £33,945 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2027 Portsmouth's City Council's Transport Planning Team are progressing a number of initiatives to progress delivery of the Portsmouth Transport Strategy, and our new Portsmouth Parking Strategy, which sets out policies such as developing Residents' Parking Zones, using kerbside space more flexibly, and developing more sustainable transport options so that more people can travel without having to use a vehicle. Alongside delivering innovative Solent Future Transport Zone projects such as our rental e-scooter trial and bike share scheme it is an exciting time to join the team. Purpose of the role The Transport Planning Team is looking to recruit a Technical Transport Planner to support delivery of our residents' parking programme. As a Technical Transport Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the provision of advice on transport planning issues, contribute to the development of transport policy and strategy, deliver solutions to varied and complex parking issues, and engage and consult with councillors, community groups and residents.
