Job description:
Platforms Segment Finance Business Partner: Participate as an influential thought partner within the Platforms segment team. This unique part of the medical division is a key growth initiative to bring Phillips Medisize products to market to support our customers' needs in a fast and cost-efficient manner. To effectively support significant growth opportunities in this segment, the ideal candidate will be strong in the following areas:
1. Strategy Steward: Actively support front-end processes to ensure new business opportunities are aligned with the organization's vision and product strategy framework. Work collaboratively with multiple internal customers and cross-functional teams to regularly review and enhance strategic plans and business cases.
2. DMF Champion: Provide financial modelling, effective challenge, and key inputs to the decision-making framework supporting new program/business opportunities. This will require working closely with a range of business partners to help gather and distil the key information needed both for the decision-making process as well as for the governance processes required within the business.
3. Reporting & Project Accountability: Develop knowledge systems and communicate regularly on the impact of key bets and initiatives to our business health. Understand and translate key bet assumptions to business's financial results. Support management reporting at various hierarchy levels (i.e. BU, Segment, Customer, etc.). This may be recurring or ad-hoc reporting to support and guide commercial decisions and activities.
4. Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with multiple departments to build and refine financial forecasts and resource utilization/planning. Manage capital investment spend ensuring proper approvals are in place and following our capital timelines. Effectively challenge resource demands and project deliverables and ensure clear communication and expectation setting across the organization.
Required profile: Minimum 5 years experience in a Finance or related role. University degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field. Excellent data/financial modelling skills. Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate well both verbally and visually using various software mediums (ppt, Excel, word etc). Ability to work to tight deadlines with accuracy. Agile in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. A demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated economic and critical thinking skills and ability to constructively challenge at all levels of the organization. Results driven.
What Will Put You Ahead: Strong systems knowledge with SAP being a distinct plus. Experience working with a commercial organization is a plus.
