About the Position
The City has several excellent opportunities for dynamic and experienced ICT professionals to help deliver our technology projects within the City.
Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will be expected to bridge the gap between technology and business by using robust analytical methodologies to assess processes, determine business requirements and deliver recommendations for projects.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills as this role requires interaction with stakeholders and collaborative working practices to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships with business and IT stakeholders to assist business units define their requirements and understand the technology impacts in all areas of their business.
* Provide a point of contact for project stakeholders relating to the delivery of business analysis activities for operational and capital projects and all other IS interactions.
* Proactively develop business cases and implementation plans, for business process reviews, including the coordination of key stakeholders and associated business officers.
* Devise and document general business requirements.
* Conduct comprehensive business analysis at user/process/system interaction level.
* Review and assess current state processes.
* Design and implement future state solutions including business rules, procedures and policies.
* Develop business process maps for ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ states.
* Assist with change projects brought about by process analysis.
About You
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
* Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Computer Science, Business, Education, Business/Administration, Information Systems, Technical, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
* 5 years' experience in complex technical and application implementations, and/or systems.
* Proven experience in business analysis, Gather, Review, and Analyse Data: and system testing.
* Analysis experience of TechnologyOne ERP would be highly regarded.
* Experience in projects following project management methodologies such as Prince2 and Agile will be an added advantage.
* Experience in ERP Upgrades, Data Migrations and Integrations will be well regarded.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:
* A copy of Australian driving licence.
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
* Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
* The right to work in Australia.
