Principal Mechanical Engineer: Conduct peer reviews, verify tasks, and lead change activities to maintain compliance, ensuring adherence to engineering standards. Identify and resolve product lifecycle issues, establish qualification requirements, and serve as subject matter expert. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to optimise thermal design of radar components and lead development of thermal models.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct peer reviews and verify tasks ensuring engineering standards are met.
* Identify and resolve product lifecycle issues and lead change activities.
* Establish and manage qualification requirements during build, test, and commissioning.
* Serve as subject matter expert, coach and mentor team members.
* Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to optimise thermal design.
* Lead development and validation of thermal models to predict performance under varied conditions.
* Required Skills and Experience:
* Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and/or proven experience.
* Expertise in heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
* Proven experience in designing and testing thermal systems for electronic components and assemblies.
* Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading engineering teams.
