Job Description
Mansell Recruitment Group is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer of engineering equipment used within the Aerospace sector.
The Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's manufacturing process runs smoothly and in compliance with regulatory standards. This involves defining, developing, and overseeing the implementation of new manufacturing processes or improvements to existing manufacturing processes. Your primary focus will be on maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality while ensuring cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Organise and manage production workflows, integrating systems to meet performance and budget targets.
• Oversee tooling management and ensure accurate, up-to-date manufacturing documentation.
• Resolve production issues by collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and staff to maintain smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations through risk assessments and internal audits.
The Candidate
Minimum 5 years' experience as a manufacturing engineer
Ideally worked within the Aerospace sector or a regulated industry such as Automotive, Marine, Medical, Defence etc
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using MRP/ERP systems.
Familiarity with electromechanical assembly.
Skilled in problem-solving, data analysis, and process improvement.
Experience with CI / Lean tools is preferred – Six Sigma, 8D, Fishbone, PFMEA, 5why, DMAIC
Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
