Role Overview: As an Occupational Health and Wellbeing Nurse, you will manage the medical and wellbeing aspects of employee health to reduce absence and support treatment plans. You will work closely with the People Department, Line Managers, and other departments to promote a positive work focus and educate on the benefits of work. Your role will involve providing specialist knowledge and skills to optimize the return-to-work process and implementing preventative health and lifestyle strategies. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate the delivery of an occupational health service shore side, working with individuals and line managers to improve employee health, wellbeing, and attendance. Use a case management approach to ensure individuals and line managers are aware of evidence-based advice in both physical and mental health in relation to work. Provide expert advice on legislative requirements and best practices related to occupational health. Monitor occupational health trends and work with key stakeholders to reduce costs associated with sickness. Implement new wellbeing initiatives through insights and feedback, ensuring they are measurable and within budget constraints. Coach and develop line managers and stakeholders on the benefits of good physical and mental wellbeing. Collaborate with external service providers to optimize health, wellbeing, and attendance. This role is positioned at CUK08 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time (but we will consider part time requests), permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home. What you’ll bring Your unique background and skills are what make you stand out. We’re looking for: Essential: RGN / RMN qualified with significant post-registration experience and proven experience in occupational health and absence case management. Desirable: Occupational Health Qualification (ideally on Part 3 of the NMC register) and a wellbeing qualification in physical or mental health.
