The college is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Economics to join our thriving and evolving Economics department. The Department consists of four subject experts, who work across both year groups to deliver challenging and engaging scheme of work to over 340 students. The Department provides a varied and engaging extra-curricular programme to broaden students’ learning.
As a Teacher of Economics at Loreto you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning under the leadership of the Head of Department. You will undertake regular assessment of students’ work and provide timely feedback. You will also monitor and support the progress and development of students using the college’s bespoke in-house systems, as well as building and maintaining positive relationships with students. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and delivery of the subject in line with awarding organisation specifications and through departmental meetings.
The successful candidate will be student focused, have a passion for teaching and learning and will be able to contribute to the development of the department’s resources. Whilst we welcome all candidates to apply for the role, having experience of teaching Economics and evidence of successful A Level results will be beneficial.
