A new vacancy has arisen with one of the leading Employment Law Teams based in Manchester. The nature of the role will appeal to an associate at the 3-5 years PQE level.
Forming part of a cohesive and well-structured team, you will receive excellent guidance and mentoring from the head of department and work collaboratively with talented peers and colleagues. You will also gain experience in supporting and developing junior lawyers and trainees.
The team offers a wealth of expertise across all aspects of contentious and non-contentious law. Your caseload will be a diverse mix of employment law matters but also instructions in more specialist and niche areas including:
* Corporate support and advising on TUPE transactions,
* Whistleblowing,
* Industrial relations,
* Senior executives and director terminations & negotiations.
Instructions arise from clients operating across a range of sectors (Banking, Life Sciences, Retail, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Construction, and Engineering). While acting largely for corporates (including FTSE 100) and commercial clients, the team also enjoys an enviable reputation for its representation of senior executives in termination and boardroom disputes.
You will be afforded plenty of client contact and have conduct of your own matters while working as part of a partner-led team on more complex matters. You will also be regularly involved in working as part of multi-disciplinary teams internally on client matters and in wider networking.
In addition to developing your technical skills as a lawyer, you will be supported in building and nurturing relationships with clients and referrers and be actively involved in business development events.
Attracting high-caliber professionals, this firm provides excellent levels of remuneration together with flexible working policies, generous benefits, and holiday allowance. Recognizing the benefits, this practice is committed to hybrid working. Benefits include health, lifestyle and wellness benefits, pension, life assurance, etc., and the option to buy and sell holidays.
Across the organization, there are many opportunities for involvement in team building, social, pro-bono, and community events. Committed to ESG, the firm supports many community and charity events, and individuals are encouraged to make use of volunteering days.
