The role involves teaching Science to students in Years 3 to 7 across two school sites, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning. This full-time position requires a dedicated educator who can adapt their teaching style to meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to the needs of SEN/SEMH students in Years 3-7. Differentiate the curriculum to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Build strong, positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress. Manage behaviour effectively, fostering a calm and supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with support staff and SENCOs to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure all students are supported appropriately. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly. Work across two school sites, maintaining consistency in teaching and communication. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science. A proven track record of working with SEN/SEMH students or in a similar setting (desirable). Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students. The ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs and overcome barriers to learning. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people. A valid UK driving license (to travel between the two sites). Why Apply?
