Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Craigavon area
Role Purpose: We are seeking a Process Engineer responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes and utilities to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyse existing processes and implement effective solutions using structured LEAN problem-solving techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Development:
Support the Engineering and Services teams, contributing positively to meetings and team performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with Production, CI specialists, site automation engineers, Site Management, and external 3rd parties. Foster a "One Team" mentality with clear and defined work plans.
2. Operational Excellence:
Drive continuous improvement using LEAN/Six Sigma tools. Support maintenance and operations in identifying and solving process issues. Lead project initiatives, manage project charters and budgets, and effectively communicate progress. Gather, analyze, and present process data for improvement opportunities. Assist with commissioning, verification, and validation of new systems.
3. People & Team:
Support upskilling of Engineering Technicians and Production Specialists. Provide routine feedback to stakeholders. Demonstrate leadership within the Engineering team, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration. Encourage feedback on health & safety, food safety, and quality issues.
4. Health and Safety:
Enhance processes for health and safety risk management. Report any issues posing a threat to a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and reporting of incidents. Utilize the Permit to Work system and conduct Point Of Work Risk Assessments.
5. Quality:
Lead the site Change Management Process. Champion a culture of food safety and quality, driving continuous improvement. Improve Right First Time performance through problem-solving and investigation tools. Standardize and automate CIP validation and other cleaning tasks.
6. Sustainability:
Focus on sustainability alongside traditional operational metrics. Raise team awareness of cost drivers and waste elimination opportunities.

Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
* BEng degree in Chemical Engineering.
* Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment as a Process Engineer.
* Proven track record of executing engineering improvement projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
* Self-motivated, team player, goal-oriented, calm under pressure, and adaptable to change.
* Availability to operate outside core hours and travel between sites if needed.
