Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire
Salary: £29,542 - £37,420 per annum
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Hourly Rate: £15.35-£19.19 per hour
Number of Sleeps Required: Minimum 1 per week
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: Young People with EBD
Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 3 in Child Residential Care or Health and Social Care
Experience in Years: 2 years providing care (preferred), 1 year in a senior role in child residential care (required)

Who we are looking for…
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Senior Support Worker with a strong background in child residential care. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be proactive in supporting and supervising team members, and have a good understanding of safeguarding, regulatory requirements, and relevant policies. This role requires someone who is resilient, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour and celebrate young people's achievements.

Responsibilities
* Lead and delegate within the staff team to ensure shifts are well-managed
* Support and supervise junior staff members
* Manage delegated responsibilities from the Registered Manager
* Participate in on-call duties as required
* Support the Registered Manager in regulatory responsibilities, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young people
* Stay current with relevant legislation and policies
* Promote a safe and caring environment
* Challenge unacceptable practices and raise concerns appropriately
* Recognise and celebrate the progress and achievements of young people
* Manage challenging behaviours and attend professional meetings as required
* Record and report key aspects of care
* Support individualised care plans, daily goals, and activities
* Promote education and essential daily living skills
* Undertake keyworker responsibilities for young people
The successful candidate must provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. The role requires eligibility to work in the UK. Please note that shift patterns include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
