Job Advert Location Description
Reporting to the Clinical Psychologist, the successful candidate will be attached to one of our three private wards within the hospital, however able to support colleagues when needed.
They will be joining an excellent experienced team, determined to deliver successful treatment based on outcomes.
As an Assistant Psychologist you will work alongside the psychology team to support and enhance the professional psychological care and assessment of individuals we support. To work and assist in the delivery of psychological services as directed, and under supervision.
This will include:
1. Delivering handover every morning
2. Inducting patients to our therapy programme
3. Attending Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings
4. Supporting the mental, emotional, and social well-being of service users
5. Undertaking protocol-based psychological assessments
6. Assisting in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving psychological treatment
7. Delivery and review of therapy groups
8. Independent one-to-one key work sessions
9. Discharge planning
10. Supporting and contributing to the training and support of other staff
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with adults struggling with their mental health, be passionate about supporting patients as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, be professional, and have the ability to be flexible and work well with change. A graduate in psychology is required.

Specialising in the management and treatment of mental health problems including addictions and eating disorders, our multidisciplinary team deliver personalised treatment programmes and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care. The Private Adult Service, which the successful candidate would join, is made up of three wards that offer general psychological care/support to a service user population of up to 55.
