Job Role: CNC Programmer & 5 Axis Setter
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum + relocation package (up to £65,000 total package)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday / flexi hours (open from 6:30-17:30)

The Role:
Use offline CAD/CAM programming packages to take engineering drawings from clients within the aerospace and defence industries and plan the best route to produce that component using 5-axis machinery.
Program, set and operate 5-axis machinery to produce components effectively and efficiently, working to tight tolerances.
Be the ‘go-to’ offline programmer within the business, leading all programming projects and mentoring lower-skilled machinists.
Assist the business when acquiring new machinery, discussing which CAD packages would work best and suggesting improvements for production efficiency.
Lead a project from the conception of the drawing to the programming and machining of the component.
Identify tooling requirements for new programs and design new tooling alongside design and manufacturing engineers where required.
The Requirements:
Previous experience with Offline CAD/CAM Programming packages within precision engineering (essential).
Proven ability to program and set up 5-axis CNC machinery (essential).
Strong understanding of CNC processes, working from drawings to plan, program and machine a part to tight tolerances (essential).
Proven ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings (essential).
Willing to relocate to Devon full time as this role is onsite 5 days per week (essential).
Previous experience producing components for the aerospace and/or defence industries (advantageous).
Previous experience leading projects from start to finish, liaising with different departments when required (advantageous).
Full rights to work in the UK and willing to undergo security checks.
