Location:
Essex based with geographical working locations generally, but not exclusively, located within the Midlands, South and South East of Birmingham and Central London.
Hours of Working:
Based on a 45-hour week normally contained within 07:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday with occasional variations to suit site demands, including some weekends and away from home working.
Salary:
Up to 65k with either a car allowance of 5k or a company vehicle.
Reporting at:
Director level reporting.
Post Overview:
To take day to day control of both small and large building/construction related projects allocated to you within your geographical works area.
Prime Functions:
1. Projects Manager for tasks allocated to you.
2. Line manage supervisors, skilled and semi-skilled tradesmen assigned to the areas of responsibility allocated to you.
3. Managerially responsible for all employed sub-contractors allocated to areas and projects under your control.
4. Promotion of the company by seeking out new business and project management opportunities within your geographical area of responsibility.
5. To be operationally responsible for all project management for those tasks allocated to you, whether sourced in hour or fully subcontracted.
6. Assist in compiling, pricing scope of works and preparing quotations.
Applicants must have:
1. A good understanding of Mechanical/Electrical.
2. Office fit out cat A/B.
3. The ability to manage and help develop the design and ensure deliverables.
4. Ordering materials, when required.
5. Meeting supply chain to walk and review new opportunities.
6. Obtain quotations and understand the value.
7. Full understanding of H/S requirements within the industry.
8. Good computer skills.
Technical background:
Demonstrate strong communication and people skills.
City and Guilds mechanically and electrically qualified.
Proven track record in commercial building.
Highly self-motivated and the ability to motivate others.
Career driven, looking for the next step in the ladder.
