Are you seeking a new challenge in the Solihull area? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Product Engineering Liaison Engineer. This role involves working within the Product Engineering Function, specifically in the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) at the Solihull Plant.
PVT is a multi-disciplined team that provides key services to current car quality improvement activities, supporting the production plant with technical and problem-solving skills, managing external quality signals through Customer Warranty, and coordinating Engineering Change.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor & report current car internal & external customer KPIs, demonstrating understanding of deteriorating metrics.
2. Maintain integrity and robustness of current car aims deck for vehicle lines.
3. Support the Manufacturing plant for Engineering internal customer issues.
4. Reduce functional faults on vehicle lines by problem solving and leading cross-functional project teams.
5. Support Change Management and coordinate engineering running change implementation.
6. Validate Cost & Fact Sheet with cross-functional plant teams.
7. Act as Agile Product Owner for squads within the PVT Central teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Knowledge of manufacturing and supplier quality operations and processes.
2. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt qualified.
3. Strong project management skills.
4. Ability to build and manage multiple internal and external relationships.
5. Demonstrable business acumen and operational budget control.
6. Well-organised and methodical, with adaptability in a fast-moving environment.
7. Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
8. Strong understanding of safety importance.
Preferred Experience:
1. Ability to apply common processes and standards.
2. Strong understanding of people and emotional intelligence.
3. Ability to multi-task in pressurised situations.
4. Experience with Agile Frameworks - SCRUM, Kanban, SAFE.
Education: Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience in an Engineering function.
