Senior Supply Chain Solutions Specialist – Intellectual Property
As a Senior Supply Chain Solutions Specialist for IP Services, you will build and manage customized supply chain solutions of varying complexities, enabling delivery of competitive IP services. This may include large-scale cross-functional projects and solutions. This includes, but is not limited to onboarding and qualification, financials, risk, compliance, contracting, reporting and supplier performance management.
As a senior member of the team, you may be expected to support, train and/or lead other team members, as well as to proactively review existing processes and propose improvements where applicable. Also, you will be expected to take ownership and lead a significant business area(s) or large-scale initiative(s) and ensure these perform according to expectations.
This role also includes a strong focus on supporting initiatives related to agent rate benchmarking and agent rate negotiations. You will be expected to take ownership and lead IP business area or initiative(s), ensuring their performance and/or progress meet expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as an experienced supply chain specialist providing IP solutions to our internal teams responsible for client delivery.
* Analyze current and future needs on the assigned account or group of IP accounts and build and/or manage customized supply chain solutions with our existing database of IP global partners.
* Support agent benchmarking through market analysis, strategies and tactics in order to optimize resource cost, utilization, quality, and capacity, enabling a talent pipeline to meet current and future IP business needs.
* Work closely with other internal teams as applicable and keep all information accurate and up-to-date at all times.
* Ensure we keep good relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers working on the program you support.
* Provide support to suppliers with client-specific issues and/or processes.
* Proactively flag any risks or potential improvements to our existing workflows and processes, including creation of risk mitigation and/or improvement plans and their implementation.
* Provide training and/or guidance to other team members and oversee resourcing on assigned projects including deliverables of other team members.
* Account-specific supplier performance management.
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience related to supply chain management / vendor management / project management or similar role, ideally with exposure to Intellectual Property industry.
* Ability to take ownership of complex projects and/or initiatives, manage these independently, asking for guidance/support when required.
* Great communication skills, both spoken and written, along with a positive personality.
* Process and results-oriented.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) - e.g. VLOOKUPs.
* Ability to stay organized and prioritize while engaged on multiple projects at once.
* Ability to work with data, analyze it and draw relevant conclusions / provide recommendations and reports.
