Regional EMEA Infrastructure PMO Lead

The role of Head Project Management Office, Infrastructure will be a leadership and management role, reporting to the Global PMO lead and with a matrix reporting line to the EMEA Head of Infrastructure. The role-holder will work in close partnership with global and regional EMEA IT Managers/Team and Infrastructure Project Managers respectively to ensure excellent service and project delivery.
The role-holder will manage a team of Project Managers (PM) that are delivering Infrastructure solutions within EMEA, providing guidance and assisting the PMs to manage and deliver each project on a timely basis while remaining within the budget of the project. The role-holder will also report on the overall progress of the entire portfolio of projects in EMEA including globally assigned projects on a monthly and quarterly basis. Financial management is critical for this role to succeed, as the role-holder will be required to not only help manage project budgets but will be involved in tracking the EMEA Infrastructure budget and assist the Heads of Infrastructure during the yearly budget planning cycle. This role will have up to 5 direct reports who are largely Infrastructure Project Managers each managing one or more projects.
Key responsibilities:
* Program delivery for Infrastructure Projects. Assist in prioritizing projects, ensure that budgeting and sufficient resources are in place.
* Provide for project governance including risk management, change control and quality assurance processes are initiated, adhered to, and monitored.
* Lead a team of Project Managers in delivering their projects in a timely manner while on budget.
* Resource planning, scheduling and optimization. To forecast resource demand and identify resource gaps and to provide optimal workforce utilization, maximizing productivity.
* Workflow management establishing standard workflows and project templates to streamline the project lifecycle. This ensures optimized operations and enhances efficiency.
* Stakeholder management ensuring alignment of OKRs, expectations and activities throughout the project lifecycle. This includes delivery of monthly and quarterly project status reports, setup of meetings with key stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns.
* Collaborate with In-country IT and Infrastructure Heads on project management and budget planning.
* Collaborate with EMEA Regional IT teams on project management and budget planning.
* Financial management of the EMEA Infrastructure budget in terms of planning and tracking.
* Deputize for the EMEA Infrastructure Head when required.
This role will report directly to the global PMO lead and in a matrix reporting to the regional EMEA Infrastructure Head.
Requirements:
* 10+ years’ experience in technology operations.
* BS in Engineering or Computer Science.
* Proven track record building a highly automated Global Operations.
* Broad know-how of IT (Infrastructure, Applications).
* Familiarity with IT Service Management toolsets such as ServiceNow.
* Experience leading large multi-cultural teams.
* A demonstrable track record of management and leadership of teams/across teams in large matrix organization.
* Experience with Organizational Change Management.
* Demonstrated experience producing programmatic deliverables.
* Demonstrated experience in leading change, with a track record of identifying and implementing opportunities to improve operations and performance.
* Experience in automation & reliability engineering.
* Experience of developing and implementing policy/procedural change.
* Experience as a people manager.
* Extensive experience in managing a high-volume multi-skilled customer service operation which should include experience of customer relationship management, resource and people management.
* Experience in customer-focused service provision and influencing organizational change within a complex environment.
* Strong organizational, operational planning, people management and business skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Travel required.
