We are recruiting for Support Workers, who can work in the capacity of a professional parental role for children & young people aged between 8-18 years old with emotional and behavioural needs. Cedar House is a beautiful home in the Bournemouth area - furnished and decorated to a very high standard.

The welfare of our young people is paramount and, as a Support Worker, you will be fundamental in our Children & Young people’s journey and their learning and development. Full time positions (36 hours) and Part Time positions are available; however, all applicants should be flexible and be able to do shift work, including sleep ins, weekend work and Bank Holidays. Overtime opportunities are available.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Support Worker Key Responsibilities
These responsibilities are for guidance and do not incorporate every duty of this position. As the needs of the business will change and evolve, the job description is subject to change.
* Provide a supportive and nurturing environment for all children and young people in the home, helping them to develop independence and life skills.
* Plan and deliver activities and programmes to meet the needs and interests of the children and young adults.
* Work collaboratively with other Team members, external agencies, and professionals to ensure that the physical and emotional needs of the children and young people are met.
* Assist the young person to establish, promote and maintain positive links with their school or college, family members (or significant others) and other professionals involved in their support system.
* Complete and maintain accurate records in line with legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies.
* Help develop and implement support plans, risk assessments and other documents to support the delivery of high-quality care and ensure these are reviewed at appropriate intervals.
* Undertake any additional training or professional development required to improve knowledge and understanding.
* Ensure that all necessary appointments are arranged, and social workers, parents or significant others are kept well informed.
* Uphold the values, principles, and policies of Libre Living and maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour.

Education and qualifications
* Good standard of education (GCSE, NVQ level 3 or equivalent including Maths and English)
* Training relevant to the post
* UK Driving Licence (desirable but not essential)
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or Equivalent/Higher
Successful candidates without a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People will be expected to study for and complete this qualification within the first 2 years of employment with Libre Living. This will be funded by the Company.
Employment History
* Relevant previous or current employment or voluntary work
* Some experience of parenting / caring of children with challenging behaviour.
Licence/Certification:
* Enhanced DBS
DBS checks will be completed for all applicants that do not have an enhanced DBS. All team members will be required to sign up to the DBS Update service. The Company will pay the cost of an initial DBS and the update service fee.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
* Job Types: Full/ Part-time/Bank staff/Permanent
* Salary: £11.80 - £12.40 per hour- Depending on Qualifications (£11.44 per hour for sleep in)
* Hours: 16 – 36 hours. Overtime available
* Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks
