An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our large clinical team and help us reach underserved communities struggling with addiction in Liverpool. We welcome applications from prescribers with a passion for working with our client group, including those with backgrounds in other specialities, as full training and induction would be provided. This post can be either full or part time and would be mostly based in Croxteth but will likely involve travel across the city of Liverpool. WithYou is all about working with our clients to find the right path for them to get back to where they want to be and you will play an important role in that journey. As a Non Medical Prescriber, you will be responsible for carrying out clinical assessment, diagnosis and clinical management in line with both WithYou and national regulations, policies and procedures. You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help WithYou to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients. This includes: harm reduction; providing support and advice in relation to substance misuse clinics; where we assess, screen and tirage clients, advising on detoxification or opiate substitution therapy prescribing where appropriate vaccination and blood testing programmes You will be used to working effectively as a healthcare professional, as part of a team and collaboratively with other social care contacts to deliver the best outcomes for clients. It's not just about those people who actively engage with our service though - you will also be reaching out to those in our communities to offer proactive support and education. Essential Skills To be effective is this job you will: be a Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC) have successfully completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course and hold an appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register be able to demonstrate OST prescribing experience be able to evidence your continuous professional development have a successful track record of delivering nursing interventions in a community setting be able to demonstrate your experience of healthcase assessments, care planning and key working be able to evidence peer working or working within a multi-disciplinary team, and collaborating with external agencies have knowledge of the issues affecting substance misusers, including the impact on their wider health be able to work effectively in a team environment, using collaborative and supportive approaches to your work have strong organisational/time management skills, able to manage competing and conflicting demands be able to accurately gather and maintain records and information Desirable Skills A full job description will be provided upon request.
