Role Overview : As a Part-time Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a vital role in developing students' curiosity and understanding of scientific concepts, ensuring they achieve academic success. Part-time Science Teacher Key Responsibilities : Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in accordance with the national curriculum. Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons are accessible and challenging for all students. Inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for scientific inquiry and practical learning. Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs, including SEN and EAL students. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment that encourages learning and respect. Promote STEM-related activities and encourage student participation in science events. Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies, ensuring student well-being. Part-time Science Teacher Requirements : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT) status, or overseas teaching qualifications. A strong subject knowledge of Science, with the ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential). Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students. A proactive, adaptable approach to teaching in different school settings. Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
