What will you do as Senior Fundraising Manager?
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Major Appeal, you will lead SAMH’s Community and Events Fundraising team and Fundraising Operations team, delivering innovative campaigns and strategies to meet and exceed income targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Director of Fundraising and Major Appeal to develop and deliver an integrated fundraising strategy.
* Team Development: Lead, inspire, and develop a team of two Fundraising Managers/Operations Managers.
* Income Generation: Oversee the planning and execution of multi-year fundraising campaigns.
* Financial and Operational Oversight: Oversee fundraising budgets and ensure accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting of income and expenditure.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with donors.
* Operational Oversight: Ensure effective use of CRM systems and compliance with UK charity regulations.
* Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress against income targets.
What does SAMH need from you?
* Demonstrated success in leading fundraising teams to achieve substantial income targets.
* Proven experience in Community and Events Fundraising.
* Expertise in developing and implementing multi-year fundraising strategies.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets.
* Membership of the Institute of Fundraising or Chartered Institute of Marketing (Desirable).
* Familiarity with mental health services and the wider charity landscape in Scotland (Desirable).
Key Skills and Attributes
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Understanding of current legislation affecting fundraising and the charity sector.
* Experience of planning and introducing new funding areas.
* Ability to gain results working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Competence in using CRM systems and databases to manage donor information (desirable).
