Information: Sleafordian Coaches is a rapidly growing successful coach & bus operator looking to recruit an individual who is keen to join a reputable and professional company. We are currently seeking an engineer to join our maintenance department who is also potentially willing to undertake PSV driver training.
Purpose of role: In this role you will be based in a busy workshop and will be a member of the team responsible for the running of a fleet of 30 plus PSV vehicles.
Activities: The activities below may be varied from time to time to meet the needs of the company. The following duties are not an exhaustive list but merely indicate the work range and core job content of the post. You may be required to undertake further relevant duties. Please note duties are not arranged in any priority order.
You will be responsible for:
- Operating proactively with your manager and supporting them to achieve their service goals and objectives.
- You will assist with full services, repairs and maintenance of PSV buses and coaches including MOT preparation.
- Assisting in the diagnosis of vehicle faults
- Completing administration tasks - use of VMS system and recording completed work electronically
- Forming part of the 24 hour call out operation in place within the company

Experience / Knowledge Skills
- To carry out vehicle servicing in accordance with legislation D
- Understanding the correct method of repair and parts to be used D
- Up to date knowledge of current and future legislation and best practice D
- Understanding of specific transport related issues D
Qualifications / Training
Ideally you will hold a NVQ Level 2 or 3 or C&G qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or a relevant subject E
Evidence of ongoing professional updating and development D
Hold IRTEC qualification D
