Role Overview:
Job description: We have an opportunity for a Senior Electronics Support Engineer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will lead the Electronics Support team at trackside events, responsible for the operation, performance, and reliability of both on and off-car electronic systems. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share ideas to foster a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the operation of on and off-car electronic systems, optimizing performance and ensuring reliability.
* Ensure all trackside operations and procedures are correctly followed.
* Support additional system requirements, including installation, calibration, and operation.
* Resolve electronic system faults.
* Coordinate with FIA, suppliers, and technical partners.
Minimum Requirements:
* A degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
* Experience providing track support in high-level motorsport.
* Experience with motorsport data logging systems, preferably Formula One SECU and related tools.
* Knowledge of automotive electronic systems, CAN, and sensing technologies.
* Understanding of electrical schematics and wire harnessing.
* Experience working with high voltage electrical systems on hybrid or electric vehicles.
* Ability to plan and manage workloads independently.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Self-motivated, innovative, and able to work unsupervised under challenging deadlines.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
