Responsibilities
* Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
* Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
* Develop and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard the organisation's assets.
* Prepare budgets and forecasts, providing insights on variances and trends to senior management.
* Conduct regular financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
* Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
* Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks to streamline financial operations.
* Provide training and support to finance team members on best practices in financial management.
Requirements
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential.
* A background in managing finance within Hospitality locations is also essential.
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in relation to accounts payable processes.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar platforms is required.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
