Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join a housing charity in Sheffield. You will be required to work closely with and report directly to the Finance and Payroll Manager, supporting the organisation's financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. Collect invoices and receipts from Sheffield and nearby areas. Assist in the implementation of purchase order system. Provide support for purchase ledger processes. Issue invoices and manage credit control within the mental health sector. Follow up on unreconciled items and resolve outstanding historical discrepancies. Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end reports, pensions, and payroll. Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate should possess at least two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping and demonstrate a thorough understanding of confidentiality, information sharing, financial due diligence, and risk mitigation. Proficiency in using finance software systems such as Xero and Sage is also essential.
