What you'll be doing:
The Technical Services Manager ensures exceptional technical customer service across the Knauf value chain. This role focuses on developing the technical service team, supporting technical functions, and driving team competency to handle customer queries efficiently and accurately.
* Adhere to Health and Safety procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and others.
* Deliver top-tier technical service to Knauf's priority customers.
* Act as the primary contact for escalated queries from customers and the Technical Support Team.
* Oversee technical drawings and ensure timely delivery to the market and colleagues.
* Collaborate with marketing to maintain accurate and accessible digital technical resources.
* Mentor and develop Technical Support Officers to enhance their competence and confidence.
* Manage and optimise the use of systems like Genesys, AutoCAD, and Salesforce CRM.
* Provide performance dashboards and summaries to the Head of Technical.
* Support field sales teams with customer-related issues.
* Drive continuous improvement through projects and daily responsibilities.
* Ensure service quality through monitoring and feedback on calls and emails.
* Lead team training and pursue personal professional development (e.g., ASFP certifications).
* Respond promptly to product and system inquiries, offering comprehensive support and solutions.
* Provide technical advice on designs, specifications, and systems to recommend optimal solutions.
* Stay updated on relevant standards, regulations, and industry changes.
* Maintain accurate records of technical documentation using the Knauf Document Management System.
* Utilise software tools for design, calculations, and assessments (e.g., U-value, condensation risk, mechanical loading).

What we'd love for you to have:
* Experience in the drywall or drylining industry is essential to ensure a deep understanding of systems, standards, and customer needs.
* HND/HNC, or equivalent, in related construction or engineering field or relevant industry experience.
* A proven record of leading teams.
* Strong technical understanding of products, systems and building regulations.
* Proven experience in a direct customer support role.
* Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and other drawing software
* Understanding of physical products/systems characteristics [mechanical, thermal, practical, etc]
* IT literate in Windows OS, MS Office package [Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.] and Internet.
* Structured problem evaluation and problem solving skills.
* Drive for continuous improvement in skills and knowledge.
