Making animals’ lives better makes life better – join our team today Reporting to: Director, Client-Side Services & Engineering Location: Hook, UK (Hybrid type of work) Description We’re looking for a passionate Technical Analyst to help us deliver and manage modern infrastructure for the specialised GxP (Good Manufacturing/Lab Practices) areas. You will be part of the Identity, Platform & Security team within TechOps. This team covers all things Identity & Access Management as well as the core platforms including those that support our manufacturing and lab IT solutions. You will play a crucial role to drive technical deployment of solutions to improve the device management and secure-connectivity in GxP areas. You will talk to people in IT and the business, predominantly in our Operations Technology (OT) area to understand business needs. You will gather data and make data-based recommendations, whilst also helping us solve business and technical problems. The Team TechOps is responsible for all IT Infrastructure across the enterprise and looking to take the opportunity to think differently, build for the future and leverage modern technologies, services and processes. You’ll spend your time: · Advise and influence business areas during requirements/user-story gathering to ensure decisions lead to a solution that truly represent business needs. · Collaborating with people outside of TechOps, acting as the bridge between our engineers, InfoSec & IT Site Operations as well as Business teams. · Presenting business cases, using different data points to help us make the right decision. · Managing the backlog of requirements/user stories. · Prioritising needs within the backlog and making trade-off decisions. · Technically evaluating and testing our solutions before we roll them out (e.g. providing feedback, guidance and suggestions). · Building a plan to implement new capabilities to ensure a smooth landing and strong adoption · Continually evaluate and improve the processes that support the full lifecycle of GxP devices (eg. Windows version upgrades, licensing updates, hardware model upgrades, new OS image creations, etc.) · Provide expertise and leadership in the development and integration of IT and OT solutions that support systems and business processes. · Provide technical support to end-users (including training) to assist in the operations for GxP hardware and associated software. · Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures for specialized workstations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. · Creating flow charts to capture business processes and user journeys. · Embedding GxP related solutions across the enterprise by running engagement activities (e.g. Tech Talks, Training sessions). · Running pilots and proof of concepts to help us evaluate new technologies. · Accurately forecast future initiatives (eg OS lifecycle) to allow Sites to budget in a timely manner · Oversee patching team to ensure guidance to site IT analysts is provided regarding GxP workstation patching (patch release notifications, site patching compliance metrics) · Engaging in the IT/OT community (internally and externally) across multiple channels, looking to share, educate and inspire. · Ensuring security, privacy and quality practices are embedded in everything we do. Required Experience · 3 years of experience in Manufacturing-related Information technology. · Previous Operational/Information Technology infrastructure support experience · Experience understanding business needs and finding the right solutions. · Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, for managing project backlogs and prioritizing tasks. · Familiarity with flowcharting tools or techniques for capturing business processes and user journeys. · Experience in change management and running engagement activities to ensure strong adoption of new solutions. · Strong analytical skills. · Strong organizational and communications skills with examples of being able to explain things in a simple and concise way. · Strong personal & work organisational skills. · Effective time management skills. Preferred Experience · Experience with Elanco established ITIL management tool (ServiceNow) · Knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other OT environments · Strong understanding of IT and OT networks, including protocols such as TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC, etc. · Experience with cybersecurity practices in both IT and OT environments.
