Summary This is an exciting time to join the Lake District team. We undertake a significant amount of our work in the shape of projects and programmes which contribute hugely to the visitor experience, care of our buildings and places, the financial sustainability of the Trust and the overall achievement of our nature and climate goals. In this role, you'll support project managers by ensuring that the project and programme information produced is accurate, timely and proportionate to the scale and complexity of the project. You'll make best use of information and data for governance, oversight of project progress and will share learning across the Lake District Properties and the wider National Trust. You'll be a conduit for advising our property teams on the Project Management Framework and governance process, supporting them to deliver their projects well. Reporting to our Land and Nature Project Officer, your contractual location will be The Hollens, the Regional Office in a stunning location overlooking Grasmere. There will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You'll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. Some travelling to property offices across Cumbria will be required. Working with our General Managers, Ranger Team and Project Officers, you’ll have the opportunity to support a wide range of projects across some of the most iconic landscapes in the world, ensuring that they continue to be rich in culture and that our wildlife and habitats are thriving. Your training and development will be supported by the Trust and the property teams. What you'll be doing You'll provide support to project managers in producing complete, accurate and timely project reporting and governance processes. This might involve producing Client Briefs and Business Case papers, compiling monthly reporting, or tracking finances and supporting procurement. You'll ensure that the Trust makes best use of project data, including internal reporting, to support governance (including property investment and project boards), oversight, learning and intervention. You'll provide support and advice to projects across the Lakes, regarding project performance and issues and support project managers, senior leadership teams, sponsors and clients in the use of the Project Management Framework.
