TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR Clinty Chemicals currently has an exciting opportunity for someone to play a crucial role in developing new business projects across the water and wastewater industry, with a specific focus on optimising the chemical and biological aspects of anaerobic and aerobic treatment processes for both new and existing facilities. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead ongoing projects and provide engineering support for established operations throughout the Wilson Resources Group. The position is based in Belfast but will require travel between sites and as customer needs dictate. Benefits Competitive salary Free Private Health Care with Dental and Optical Cash Back Plan 31 days annual leave Key Responsibilities Manage assigned projects from initial consultation to commissioning Provide timely reports and information as requested by management Designing and implementing testing methodologies, liaising with laboratories and management, analysing data and reporting results. Mentor and train less experienced team members/graduates Actively research technical developments in the water/wastewater sector Provide on-site support to new and developing projects and after-sales support in line with any contractual terms Liaise and build relationships with customers in order to develop and expand business Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards, confirming manufacturing processes Provide manufacturing decision making information by calculating production, labour and material costs, review production schedules, estimate future requirements. Required Skills/Qualifications Essential 3 years experience in a related industry Self-motivation and the ability to apply critical thinking Excellent planning and organisational skills Full valid driving licence and willingness to travel Desirable Experience in laboratory skills associated with water and waste management Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline Experience managing, coaching and mentoring staff Salary £DOE Clinty Chemicals is an Equal Opportunities Employer
