About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Composite Department.Are you an experienced and skilled composite laminator?Do you take pride in producing precision-engineered, ultra-premium components?Are you interested in working on some of the world’s most prestigious vehicle development programmes for leading car brands?Then is the perfect role for you!Role and ResponsibilitiesCreating hand-built composite componentsCarefully and accurately following project specifications and technical drawingsPreparing components for autoclave curing using vacuum bagging techniquesMaintaining tooling patterns and moulds, applying chemical sealers and release systemsFabricating moulds and resolving any quality issues in collaboration with project engineersFollowing build manuals and quality control procedures to ensure accuracyMaintaining personal hand toolsTracking materials using the correct documentationCollecting data to ensure all components meet high quality specificationsMaintaining optimal quality materials by ensuring prepreg carbon fibre is correctly stored after shiftThe safe handling composite materials, adhering to Health & Safety guidelinesTake a proactive role in Health and Safety providing immediate feedback to managers where potential Health & Safety or customer satisfaction concerns existExperience and SkillsStrong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality, hand-crafted workAbility to understand and adhere to technical engineering drawings and informationExperience in composite laminating is essentialComfortable with hand and power toolsAbility to work well both independently and as part of a teamAdaptable, positive character with a flexible approach to workExcellent attendance and timekeeping recordAdditional InformationWorking pattern.
