Junior Designer - Hybrid working (set days: 3 days on site in Solihull, 2 days from home)
Seeking a creative individual to join our design team working on branded jewellery, smart & quartz watches. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is proactive with excellent attention to detail.

Leading brands include Reflex Active, Henry London, Radley London, Rotary Watches, Harry Lime, Gresham Watches, as well as children’s watches from Tikkers and Disney.

1. Assisting senior designers to create seasonal ranges for several categories: women’s jewellery (both fashion and sterling silver ranges), quartz watches & smart watches/wearable tech.
2. Collaborate with the design team and licensed brands to develop cohesive collections that fit brand guidelines and fulfill customer requirements.
3. Research & interpret the latest trends from top designers & the catwalk, to high street & social media trends.
4. Developing designs to push the boundaries across all categories whilst ensuring product is commercial & of high quality.
5. Producing & presenting watch and accessory trend boards.
6. Researching the latest jewellery & watches in the market and looking at how new techniques can be applied to our brands.
7. Keeping up to date with the latest innovations in smartwatches & wearable tech.
8. Liaising with Far East factories on new techniques or design ideas.
9. Creating detailed CADs & artwork for the team and Far East suppliers to use.
10. Follow designs closely throughout the development process to ensure products are to the highest standards and key dates are hit.
11. Mocking and organising samples for meetings with customers.
12. Gaining a clear understanding of pricing & commercial awareness.
13. Working in line with seasonal critical paths to ensure deadlines are met.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Design degree in fashion or accessories preferable, but not essential if have a proven design background from previous roles.
2. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, predominantly Illustrator & Photoshop.
3. Portfolio required.
4. Ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and within the design team.
5. Confident with fashion trends and researching new and upcoming trends/patterns/materials/key colours etc.
6. Excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills.
7. Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel.
