Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Customer Technical Support Engineer.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Service Department as an Office based Technical Support Engineer.
Job Description
This is a technical role, supporting customers along with breakdown, installation and service engineers based across the country.
Being office based; the role would ideally suit a Midlands based candidate with a positive attitude to support the field-based colleagues. It may require occasional field support and travel across the UK. The successful candidate will be expected to use this opportunity to build on their machine tool experience and knowledge and become a key member of the Technical Support Team.
Essential Criteria
1. An engineer with electrical or mechanical knowledge and understanding of Mazak machine tools.
2. Experience of Mazatrol controls, machine operations and axis movements.
3. Understanding of Mazak product range of machines.
4. Experience of fault diagnosis.
5. Understanding mechanical drawings and schematic electrical drawings.
6. Understanding of structure of machines and how they work.
7. Working alongside current engineers supporting customer requirements.
8. Identification of parts from current manuals.
9. Creating incidents for workflow within the team.
10. Able to find part numbers for mechanical and electrical items.
Desirable Criteria
1. A knowledge of windows-based applications.
2. Team player, ‘can do’ attitude.
3. Can communicate with customers at all levels.
4. Excellent telephone manner.
5. Flexible working approach to meet demand (to include overtime if required).
