Assembling and testing generator control panels according to supplied drawings and mounting them within enclosures. Efficiently prioritising and managing assigned workloads. Assembling and testing wiring looms to supplied drawings and fitting them to engine/alternator. Upholding high standards of workmanship on all projects. Conducting test inspection processes on pre-wiring cabling. Ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in full compliance with health and safety standards. Implementing quality and environmental standards in line with ISO requirements and company standards. Supporting site installation teams and occasionally carrying out site commissioning. Troubleshooting and fault finding. Testing completed generators with load banks in line with approved processes. The Person : Qualifications such as City & Guilds, BTEC ONC/HNC, JIB Approved Electrician, or NVQ Level 3 equivalent. Generator experience (highly desirable). A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in industrial environments. A good knowledge of Electrical Installation Regulations and associated legislative standards. The ability to read electrical drawings and fault-find to component level. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to work to deadlines and targets. Strong awareness of health and safety practices. Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills. The ability to work effectively on your own initiative in a single-person scenario or as part of a team. Strong written and oral communication skills for effective interaction with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across different departments.
