Senior Counsel Wealth Management
Our client a leading Private Bank & Wealth Manager banking business are seeking a Senior Wealth Management Legal Counsel based in London to support the UK and European businesses
This role will advise on the development of new banking and credit products for the private banking and wealth management business areas
The Role:
* Provide specialised, strategic legal advice and support to the business on a range of legal issues within wealth management and the private banking areas with a focus on credit and consumer lending and loan banking products
* Collaborate with business partners and colleagues across other functions to provide legal support and recommendations relating to the development of new products and digital solutions and Regulatory Matters
* Provide transactional support to the credit business covering consumer loan agreements and UK consumer lending and mortgage regulations
* Advise on relevant law and regulation both for existing business and new product development
* Manage the activities of external counsel
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Lawyer with experience working in in-house within financial services, banking ,wealth management or related industry
* Related experience in Credit, Consumer Lending or Banking or Investment Management services
* Proven business/industry expertise with in-depth, specialized knowledge and experience of UK and European Regulations in the private / consumer banking and wealth management areas
* Displays common sense and good judgment.
* Interact with business and functional stakeholders
