Description
We are seeking an ambitious and personable Advertising Sales Consultant to join our team, representing our Somerset Life magazine. This full-time, permanent role combines field sales, new business acquisition and account management, focusing on developing client relationships across the footprint of print and digital titles.
As part of this role, you’ll spend time visiting clients, so familiarity with the area, a valid driving license, and a passion for supporting local businesses is essential.
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, office hours, hybrid role with two days a week in the Taunton office
Key Responsibilities
* Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients across the Somerset region and surrounding areas.
* Drive advertising sales for a leading lifestyle magazine.
* Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to understand their needs and propose tailored advertising solutions.
* Proactively seek new business opportunities through outreach and networking.
* Collaborate closely with editorial and marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns.
* Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations.
* Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
* Keep accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven track record in advertising sales.
* Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities.
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
* Good local knowledge of Somerset, particularly the key focus areas.
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
* Access to a vehicle for work.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
