Position: Primary SEN Tutor
Location: Hillingdon (in-person tutoring)
Pay: £20-£25 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: Flexible, part-time
We are seeking an empathetic and skilled Primary SEN Tutor to provide individualized support to primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs in Hillingdon. You'll work closely with students to create engaging, tailored learning experiences that help them achieve their personal and academic goals.
This flexible role is perfect for someone who is passionate about SEN education and has experience working with children who require additional support.
- Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN.
- Support children with various needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges.
- Develop and deliver creative and adaptive lesson plans in line with the primary school curriculum.
- Build a positive, nurturing environment to help students grow in confidence and succeed academically and emotionally.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and schools to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Proven experience working with children with SEN (e.g., teacher, tutor, teaching assistant, or similar role).
- Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and SEN strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A relevant qualification in education, SEN, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to travel within the Hillingdon area for in-person sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
