Job Title: Private Equity (Search Fund) Intern
Language Requirement: Native or bilingual proficiency in German is mandatory

Time Commitment: Full time (40h p.w.) or part time (min. 10-15h p.w.)
Duration: 2-6+ months, starting Q1 and/or Q2 2025

COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The firm seeks to acquire a profitable and growing business with revenue between EUR 10 million and EUR 50 million in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) in the course of a management buy-in. The firm is backed by a group of entrepreneurs, family offices and institutional investors.
POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the firms‘s search for and acquisition of an attractive business within our focused industries. The intern will gain hands-on experience in evaluating companies, industries, and markets, and will work closely with the fund’s Managing Director and other interns throughout the search and acquisition process.
The Founder and Managing Director of the firm contributes 12 years of M&A and Private Equity experience from leading institutions. He has a strong track record of successfully sourcing and acquiring companies in Germany and across Europe. He has experience as interim CFO as well as a non-executive board member across different industries He is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration, a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration as well as a M.Sc. in International Management. He is a CFA charter holder and is certified by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. He speaks fluently German, English and French.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conducting industry research to identify potential markets and acquisition targets.
- Analysing market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities.
Company Evaluation:
- Conducting due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
- Assisting with financial modelling and valuation analyses.
Outreach and Relationship Management:
- Engaging with business brokers, industry associations, and other stakeholders to source potential acquisition opportunities.
- Assisting with the preparation and delivery of presentations and proposals to potential sellers and investors.
Administrative Support:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM databases.
- Preparing meeting agendas and taking detailed notes during meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Language
- Native or bilingual proficiency in German is mandatory
Education
- Working towards Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience:
- Prior work experience in financial analysis, market research, or a similar role is considered a plus
